William D. Blomker, age 77 of Fort Dodge died unexpectedly, Thursday March 11, 2021 at Simpson Health Center, Friendship Haven.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00PM to 4:00PM on Sunday March 14th In the Chapel of Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Bill is survived by his wife of 27 years Diane (Collins) Blomker, his daughter Kristin Blomker Berger (Darren) of Ankeny IA, granddaughter's Gaby (10) and Quinn (7), stepdaughter Tammy Madsen (Josh), grandchildren Olivia (17), Jacob (14), and Isabel (9). Stepson Matthew Allan of West Des Moines. Bill's siblings, Richard Blomker (Kathy) of Cottage Grove WI, Marilyn Schoeller (Mark) of Clear Lake IA, Doug Blomker (Kathy) of Harrisburg SD. Brother and sister in law's Jay Collins (Tracy) of Barnum, Mary Gardalen (Marlyn), Kathy Kesterson (Jim), Denise McAnally (Mike), Maureen Crimmins (Denny) all of Fort Dodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three nephews and two nieces.
William Dennis Blomker, was born May 8, 1943 in Humboldt, IA to Richard and Edith (Olson) Blomker. He graduated from Humboldt High School in 1961. Bill went on to graduate from the University of Iowa, and University of Iowa College of Law. Following his law practice Bill worked as a real estate appraiser for Kesterson Realty and Appraisal of Fort Dodge, until his retirement.
Bill was an avid Hawkeye fan and an outdoorsman. He will be deeply missed. Bill's family encourages all attendees to wear their favorite Hawkeye gear.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
