Next moving to Manhattan, Beloit and finally Lawrence, Kansas where Dean received a PHD in Clinical Psychology and Thelma became an Occupational Therapist. "My condolences on Thelma\'s passing. She was a fellow student with my mother Laurel (nee Presnell) at Cornell College and they corresponded for many years. I met her once in 2003 at the farm (next door to the farm of my Phillips great grandparents) and she and mom talked for an hour over all the doings of Iowa friends and cousins. I still have the Elwood Meth. Church cookbook she put together! May she rest in peace. "

She was a devoted wife and mother that raised three talented children. We were blessed to have her with us for 94 years. "
