Bruce Jeffrey Price
March 18, 1945 - February 28, 2021

Bruce Jeffrey Price, 75, husband of Sharon Lee Price of North Phoenix, passed on Sunday, February 28, 2021. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, March 18, 1945, he was one of four children of the late Virgil and Lillian (Pearson) Price and was a graduate of Mound High School.

He was inducted into the United States Army in 1962 at the age of 18 and proudly served as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne until his honorable discharge in 1965.

After his military service, Bruce became an avid pilot and certified flight instructor. He escaped the winters of Minnesota in 1973, moving to Arizona. While the scenic flights over the Grand Canyon were rewarding, he chose to make a life as a business owner in North Phoenix which included Northeast Auto and Bell Road Auto & Truck Rental. In retirement he also enjoyed working part-time at NAPA Auto Parts.

Bruce took every opportunity to be on the water, spending time with family and friends on his houseboat, the "Rumrunner", docked at Lake Pleasant Harbor Marina and relaxing on cruise liners in the open sea. Bruce looked forward to his annual deep sea fishing tournaments in Mexico in hopes of hooking a prized sailfish. Bruce's other leisure activities included golf, card games and casinos.

He leaves behind a beloved wife of 54 years, Sharon Price; a daughter, Tiffany and husband Ralph Smith; a son Bruce J. Price Jr. (BJ) and love of his life Kim Johnson; three grandchildren, Sheldon, Elizabeth Bailey and Logan; one great-grandchild, Colton, all in the Phoenix area; and sister Linda Huntington of St. Cloud, Minnesota; He also is survived by loving in-laws and a host of long-time friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Hansen Desert Hill Chapel, 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale. A reception will immediately follow on the premises. For everyone's safety, social distancing and masks are requested.
