Winona Henry-Etta (Riley) Shepperd was born October 14, 1928 to Henry Andrew Riley and Emma Leona (Parks) Riley in Howe, OK. She joined her Lord and Savior February 10, 2021 in Scottsdale, AZ at the age of 92.
She married James Olyn Shepperd January 27, 1945.
Winona was a gifted singer/songwriter. She had a green thumb for the outdoors. Indoors, she baked and decorated hundreds of specialty cakes, all while giving decades of service to Motorola.
Winona is survived by one brother Henry Andrew Riley (Little Rock, AK); three children Olyn Wayne Shepperd (Phoenix, AZ), Darlene (Ronald) Ours (Rolla, MO), and Warren Shepperd (Jay Johnson) (Phoenix, AZ); four grandchildren, Ron (Lisa) Ours (Rolla, MO), Eric Ours (Rolla, MO), Misty (Jeremiah) Fulliam (Rolla, MO), and Emily McGoffin (Phoenix, AZ); eight great-grandchildren, Logan, Destiny, Eden, Alia, Jayden, Miah, Cammi and Kaylee; one great-great-grandson, Razvon; three special nieces, Sharon Johnson, Charlene Smith, and Beverly Bishop; and one special cousin, Jamie Cloud.
A visitation will be held at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N 7th St, Phoenix, AZ 85020 on Friday, March 5th from 2:00 to 3:00 pm with a funeral service to follow. A graveside service will be held at Resthaven Park East Cemetery on Saturday, March 6th at 1:00 pm.
