Esther Mae Marshall
April 22, 1923 - September 6, 2013

Esther Mae Marshall was a homemaker and longtime resident of South Dos Palos, CA, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 90.
Esther was born April 22, 1923 in Laurel, Mississippi, the daughter of Cornelius and Carrie Ward. She came to Dos Palos in 1938 and began working for Eagle Field during WWII. She later ran her own cafe and boarding house.
A mother of 13 children, she was a faithful member of Mount Moriah First Baptist Church in Dos Palos. She enjoyed family gatherings, holidays and time shared with those she loved. She will be greatly missed and remembered lovingly by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother Daisy Ward; two sons George Marshal Jr .and Timothy Marshall, Sr.; two brothers, Cornelius Ward, Jr. and Clarence Marshal, Sr.; granddaughter, Shelia Howell; daughter in law, Merline Marshall and son in law, Johnny Cooks.
She is survived by her children: Calvin Marshall of Madera, CA., Robert Marshal and his wife Gwenetta of Bakersfield, CA. Joe Marshall and his wife Lena of Los Banos, CA Sylvester "Bronco" Marshall and his wife Gail of Perris, CA. Zella Mae Brown and her husband Bill of College Park, GA, Vivian Cooks of Fresno, CA, Daughter in law Detra Marshall of Highland, CA, Clarence Marshall, Sr., Lee Marshall, Sr and his wife Carolyn, Vincent Oglesby and his wife Audrey, Marily Austin and David and his wife Pat Marshall all of Dos Palos, CA. She leaves 81 grandchildren 156 great grandchildren and 46 great great grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.
