Everett Younce passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 in Los Banos. He was 75.
Everett was born May 20, 1938 in Gallen, Oklahoma. He came to Dos Palos with his family in 1942. Everett graduated from high school and received his AA degree.
Everett retired in March 2000 from University of California Cooperative Extension after 33 years. He worked as Lab and Field Technician and took on the duties of an entomologist. He was an avid outdoors man. He loved to sing.
Everett was a member of United Methodist Church of Dos Palos, Elks club member, Dos Palos City Councilman, Gideon and an active 4-H member for more than 30 years.
He was married to Carolyn (Hutchinson) Younce who survives him. Also surviving are his children, Hans Younce of Los Banos, CA, Lori Ridenour of Dos Palos, CA and Heidi Miller of Auberry, CA. Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The funeral ceremony will be held Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 at the United Methodist Church on Marguerite and Golden Gate Streets at 10am. Everett will be laid to rest in Dos Palos Cemetery District.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapels of Dos Palos.
