Lena Pyle
December 23, 1919 - April 11, 2014

Lena (Dolzadelli) Pyle enjoyed her last days at home with her children, before passing away peacefully in her sleep at Memorial Hospital Los Banos on Friday, April 11, 2014. She was 94.
Lena was born December 23, 1919 to Joaquin and Carolina (Marciochi) Dolzadelli in Dos Palos, California. She was reared in Dos Palos and graduated from the local highschool. Lena married James pyle, who preceded her in death in 1997 and together they had two sons. Lena was prilmarily a homemaker, but worked for Santi's Restaurant as a waitress and cook wher her children were school age. Lena was very family oriented and lived for her late husband and children. Lena was a very active and caring individual. She was a longtime member of the Women's Club, Pedro Club, the Lunch bunch and the Senior Citizens. Lena loved Dos Palos High School football and baseball. She made beautiful embroidery and was happy when playing the card game "Pedro" with her friends.
Along with her husband James, she was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her two sons, Gary of Nevada and Robert of Costa Rica. Her sister Emily Vincent of Dos Palos and Carla, Lena's caregiver who gary and robert said provided excelent 24 hour care for their mother for the past several years.There are five grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Remembrances may be made to the Women's Improvement Club of Dos Palos.
Graveside service will be held Friday, April 18, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Dos Palos Cemetery District
