Margaret Lucille “Lucy” Creighton passed away May 1, 2014 in Los Banos. She was 80. She was born on December 13, 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Creighton and son Phillip Creighton. She is survived by her children, Steve, Londa, John, Danny, David, Paul and Will; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Lucy was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Los Banos, where she enjoyed working with sister Rosario and the other nuns at New Bethany Residential Care & Skilled Nursing. She loved driving them around town helping them do small things and taking them to mass at 5 o'clock in the morning most days before falling ill herself just a few years ago. She then needed the sisters to take care of her which brought her happiness and comfort. Sister Rosheen Glennon from St. Nicholas Parish in Laguna Woods, CA, her lifelong childhood friend, will be guiding the family through the religious services in difficult time.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 9:30 to 11:00 am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel in Los Banos. The rosary will be recited at 11:30 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Los Banos. Funeral Mass will follow. Burial will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
