Frances Rhoades wrote on Mar 23, 2015:

"Aunt Betty was very generous and kind to me. I was one of seven children growing up in SF, and Aunt Betty was nice enough to invite me to Los Banos every July for a week's getaway. It was a real vacation for me since the "countryside" was always hot, casual & relaxed, different than the City life I lived. I can remember the smell of cut grass in the air, going to the community pool with my cousins, the A&W root beer floats, going to the movie theater to escape the heat (few people had A/C), and hearing the crickets in the evenings. I am so grateful for these wonderful childhood memories, and now, as an adult, I am even more appreciative of her generosity."
