Bernice Elene Sorg, a Dos Palos resident since 1934, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4th, 2015 at her hom. She was 98 years old.
Bernice was born on November 6, 1917 in Valley View, Texas to Gardener and Jenny Boydstun. She was ivolved in the family farming business until she left to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Floyd, and siblings: Morrell Boydstun, Marcell Boydstun, Euice Harris, and Oscar Boydstun.
Bernice is survived by her children: Gary Sorg of Roseville, CA and Judy James of Clovis, CA; grandchildren; Daniel James, Wendy Boyd, Michael James, John James, Kira Sorg, and Aaron James; along with six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Dos Palos at 11 am. Burial will follow at the Dos Palos Cemetery District.
