For the past year or more I have had the honor to sit next to Nina, she was a great lady and always we would share snacks with each other on Dialysis days. We would watch some of the same cooking shows and talk about the different foods that were being shown. Nina always talked about how huch she loved her family especially her her husband and how happy she was of a new baby that was recently born but felt sad that the baby lived many miles away and hadn't been able to see the baby yet. I was always happy to see Nina on Dialysis day and I will miss her mostly her beautiful laugh she was my friend I know she is with God now...R.I.P. Nina I love you."

Nina R. Avila, a beloved mother, sister, and auntie passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 in Fresno, CA. Nina was born on May 29, 1946 in Dos Palos, CA. She grew up in Firebaugh, CA. Nina was known for her huge heart & the love & pride she took in her family. She was loved by many. She was always ready and willing to help someone in need. Nina was one of a kind, and she will be tremendously missed by all those who knew & loved her.
Nina is preceded in death by her parents, Tom & Rebecca Burciaga.
She is survived by her brother, Tommy R. Burciaga, Jr., her husband, Victor Avila, her two sons, Harvey Estrada, Jr. (Anna, spouse) and Victor Avila, Jr., her grandchildren, Joseph A. Estrada, Marcel Estrada, Derek J. Estrada, & Juan Pablo Espinoza, & 3 great granddaughters, Jayla A. Estrada, Mia Estrada, & Jaliah A. Estrada.
A Vigil Service with Rosary will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Firebaugh followed by The Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm. Burial at the Dos Palos Cemetery District.
