Clifford J. Henderson
July 3, 1939 - June 27, 2015

Clifford Henderson, a long time resident of Dos Palos passed away in the early morning hours Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Merced, CA. He was 76.
Clifford was born to Rastus and Henrietta Henderson, July 3, 1938 in the great state of Texas. He was educated in Texas and relocated to Dos Palos in 1960. He met then married Mary Peterson on Jan. 8, 1965 in Merced. Clifford was employed as a sanitation engineer with the City of Dos Palos where he worked for 28 years.
Clifford battled several serious health issues but was cared for by reliable physicians and his devoted family. He was able to spend his golden years at home in familiar surroundings. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents Rastus and Henrietta Henderson and a grandson, Kameron Huddleston.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Henderson of Dos Palos, CA. Three children Roberta Williams of Dos Palos, CA, Marlan Henderson of Maryland and Margie Huddleston of Merced, CA. Two sisters Willie Payne and Margaret Williams and a brother Rastus Henderson all of Los Angeles, CA. Four grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Britney and Taniya and three great grandchildren Christopher, Jr., Cameron and Alicia.
A visitation will be held Friday, July 10, 2015 at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos from 5 – 7pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 , 11am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos. Clifford will be laid to rest Monday, July 13, 2015 at Dos Palos District Cemetery at 2pm.
