In loving memory of

Bert Ereman
May 6, 1930 - June 30, 2015

Beloved father and brother, Bert Ereman passed away on June 30th in Sanger, CA. Bert is survived by his four children (Greg, Rochelle, Alan, and Tom), five siblings (Wilma Owen, Evelyn Hancock, Christine Jensen, Roberta LiCalsi, and Bob Lowder), five grandchildren (Jenna, Cassandra, Andrili, Erin, and Fiona) and four great grandchildren.
He was born May 1930 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Fred and Ethel Ereman.
He was a decorated Korean War Veteran where he was awarded 3 bronze stars for valor and selflessness in battle. He graduated from Fresno State University where he was the student body president and a member of the Theta Chi fraternity. While at FSU, he met and married Audrey Thiebaud and started a family.
He owned and operated a masonry contracting business for 40 years in Los Banos where all three of his sons worked along side him at various times. Strong to the end, he was still laying brick and setting tile at 82. Everyone in the family has a fireplace, kitchen, or bathroom that Bert made beautiful with his customary dedication to detail.
When Bert wasn’t working, he was an active outdoorsman. He grew up hunting and fishing in Oregon and later in the Sierras. He was a pilot, a ski patrolman at China Peak and enjoyed sailing, windsurfing and riding motorcycles with his family. Bert had a keen sense of humor and never stopped making his family and friends laugh. He is loved and will be deeply missed.
Services will be held at 5pm on Sunday, July 12, at the Methodist Church, 1031 Iowa Ave., Los Banos. Burial will be held at a later date in Grants Pass, Oregon where Bert will be laid to rest with his parents. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the American Cancer Society.
