November 13, 1938 - October 11, 2015
James was born in Merced on Nov. 13, 1938. He passed away peacefully at home in Los Banos, CA on Oct. 11, 2015.
He was a honest and hard-working skilled auto mechanic. He raised his family in San Jose before retiring in Los Banos. He loved golfing, traveling, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.
James will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was a great role model to all who knew him. James will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of over 59 years; four sons: Jim, Ken, Ruben, Manuel; two daughters: Stella, Lydia and all their spouses. He was also blessed with twenty-three grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
On Tuesday, October 20th, at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel, 1840 Center Ave, a visitation will be held, 5:00-7:00 p.m.; and the rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. On Wednesday, October 21st, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1621 Center Ave., Los Banos, at 10:00 a.m. there will be a funeral mass. Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel~Los Banos.
