Anthony Wayne Pricolo, 69, of Los Banos, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 9, 1946 in Los Banos, CA. He married Rosemary
Lewis on September 27, 1969 in Los Banos, CA. Wayne Pricolo became a Volunteer Fire Fighter.
In 1982 and was hired as a full time Fire Fighter on August 9, 1990. He promoted through the ranks over his career and retired as a full time Fire Captain in 2009. However, he remained an
active volunteer with the Los Banos Fire Department until his passing. He also worked for the Los Banos Dairymen’s Association for 18 years, as well as Standard Oil for a couple of years after he served in the National Guard from 1964-1971. Wayne was a member of various organizations including Italian Catholic Federation, Knights of Columbus & Native Sons.
Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed vacationing with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rosemary; sons, Wayne (Anisa) Pricolo and Todd (Toni Ann) Pricolo; four grandchildren, Colton, Cayden, Madison and Isabella; his sister, Paula (Gary) Parreira of Atwater; his brotherin-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Ida Mae Spankowski; and
several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Tucker.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m.to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel, 1840 Center Avenue, Los Banos.
Rosary and funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1621 Center Avenue, Los Banos. Burial will be at Los Banos Cemetery District in Los Banos. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Los Banos Volunteer Fire Department or St. Joseph’s Church.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel~Los Banos.

"Oh, Rosemary and family - I just heard about this....horrible, sad, gut-wrenching. I'm so sorry. Wayne was SUCH a wonderful man..........how many times did he come to OUR aid over the years? Too many to count. So many good memories of evenings at the duck club. I can't tell you how sad this makes me - you are all in my thoughts and prayers."
