Evelyn Carvalho Palermo-Trindade
August 20, 1925 - October 26, 2015

On Monday night, we lost our beloved Sister, Aunt and Cousin, Evelyn Trindade. Evie as she
was known, suffered from along battle with dementia. She was born in Layton California to Frank and Emily Carvalho. She grew up on the family ranch in Dos Palos and after graduating high school moved to Los Banos where she lived over 55 years where she owned and operated
Evelyn’s Dress Shop on main street.
Evie was an active member of the F.D.E.S, was president of the local Suroptimus club, a 2-term president of the Los Banos Chamber of Commerce. Evie was even appointed by the Los Banos City Council to serve as Councilwomen to fill a vacancy.
Evie was preceded in death by parents, an only son Jerry Palermo, a husband Frank Palermo of Los Banos and a second husband Hubert Trindade of Merced, two younger sisters, Doris Bowling Fidalgo of Fresno and Arlene Rios of Pacific Grove.
A sister Kathleen Sachse of Fresno and many nephews, nieces, cousins and 13 Godchildren, survive Evie.
The family wishes to thank the excellent care of the Sisters and staff at New Bethany Residential Care Facility in Los Banos. And especially the wonderful care, friendship and love Sister Lucinda and Sister Julia have shown Evie and our family for many years.

Services will begin with a rosary on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel, the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Los Banos District Cemetery.
