Luigi P. Toscano
November 29, 1934 - November 23, 2015

Luigi Paul Toscano, Jr., also known as Louis or Lou, 80, of Galt, died on November 23, 2015 in Sacramento, California of heart failure. He was born in Los Banos, CA and resided in Galt for the last 13 years.
Over 30 years of employment Louis worked at a few hospitals as the Busines Administrator and Social Services Director. In addition to working fulltime, Louis and his wife Elaine raised their own two kids along with taking care of and raising 46 foster children, and adopted three kids in a span of 30 years. The Catholic Church was Louis' second home. He was the CCD Principle, organized and participated in the Adult and Youth Choir Program at the Catholic Churches he attended. He really enjoyed singing in the Choir's, sharing his beautiful voice. After making the decision to retire and do something that he enjoyed, he decided to volunteer his time managing the Gift Shop at Merced County Hospital for an additional 10 years along with his wife, Elaine Toscano. When Louis and Elaine decided to move to Galt, to be closer to their grandchildren, they enjoyed their lives together by keeping involved with different activities with the church until Elaine's death. Louis adopted a pug, he gave her the name Bella, and they enjoyed walks together.
Surviving immediate family includes kids Stan and Barbara Toscano, Mike and Kenyon Toscano, Mario and Jenny Toscano; four grandsons; Ray, Chris, Daniel and Andrew Toscano.
The family extends their eternal gratitude to Kaiser South Sacramento, Emergency Care Unit for their skills, compassion and support given to our family.

"A memory I'd like to share of Uncle Louis is when he got his beloved Pug, Bella. Uncle Louis had always had big dogs and at first didn't want a small dog. Stan got Bella from a co-worker. Uncle Louis said, "I don't want a small dog". But Stan convinced him to keep her for a trial period and during this time. He grew to love her. When he was trying to decide on a name, I came up with the name Bella. It means beautiful in Italian. I also had a pug. Tasha. Tasha and Bella looked like sisters. Uncle Louis and Bella became so close, he called her his "Bestest Friend". He even shared his pasta with her and anybody who knows Uncle Louis, knows he loved his pasta! So I feel feel very special that I helped name Bella and I know Uncle Louis is in heaven taking care of our Tasha...and maybe sharing a little pasta with her. Love, Kristi, George and family."
