Surrounded by his loved ones, Arnold Freitas was called to the Lord on January 8, 2016. Arnold
was born and raised in Los Banos CA by his parents Tony and Rose Freitas along with his brothers, Melvin and Stanley Freitas. Growing up, Arnold worked on his father’s dairy, and was an
active member of FFA. After graduating from Los Banos High School in 1959, Arnold joined the National Guard. When he returned, he married the love of his life, Ida Freitas of 49 years. He continued as a third generation dairy farmer and later took over his father’s dairy business with his brother Stanley. Arnold and Ida were blessed with two children, Annette and Mark, and two grandchildren, Taylor and Alyssa. Arnold was a good man who worked hard to provide for his family. He loved to have a good time with family and friends. He was part of many organizations such as Native Sons, Odd Fellows, Sportsman’s Club, OLF Society, and St. Joseph’s parish.
Arnold is preceded in death by his parents Tony and Rose Freitas.
He is survived by his wife Ida; daughter Annette (Joe) Brasil; son Mark (fianc Marisol) Freitas; granddaughters: Taylor Freitas and Alyssa Brasil; brothers, Melvin (Deborah) Freitas and Stanley (Marsha) Freitas; and one uncle, Frank (Marlene) Freitas; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services for Arnold will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Friday, January 15th, 2016.
Rosary begins at 12:00 noon followed by the funeral mass at 12:30 pm.
A local reception for family, friends and guests will follow the burial.
