Elizabeth Irmgard Woo passed away at home in the early morning of January 23, 2016 after a struggle with dementia for several years. Elizabeth was born July 22, 1927 in Pommelsbrunn, Germany. She moved to the United States in 1947 and settled in Los Banos with her first husband, Foster Gomes. She worked for Dr. Pimmentel as a nurses aid.
Elizabeth and Foster were some of the original charter members for the Chatter Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club. After divorcing her first husband, she moved to Porterville where she married her second husband Dick Woo and worked for Town and Country Market for 30 years. After retirement, Elizabeth and Dick traveled throughout Europe and China.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Foster Gomes; second husband Dick Woo; and two sisters: LoLa and Betty. Elizabeth is survived by daughter Carol (David) Pierce; her granddaughter Michelle (Richard) Ferreira; and two great grandchildren: Ethan and Alexis Ferreira, all of Los Banos. One sister Hella Aderhold of Georgia.
No services will be held per Elizabeth’s request. Arrangements are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel~Los Banos.
