In loving memory of

Victor Marques
January 19, 1926 - February 22, 2016

Victor Marques was born on January 19, 1926, in Los Banos, Ca. to John and Maria Marques.
He passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on February 22nd , at the age of 90. Victor
worked on the family dairy until age 18, then was drafted into the United States Army. He was
sent to Korea for Occupational duty as the War was coming to an end. While at Fort Ord, Victor
met his future wife Katie Silveira of Pacific Grove.
After the War, Victor and Katie made their home in Los Banos, where they raised their family.
He was a dairyman for more than 30 years, he then worked for the San Luis Water District
before retiring in 1990.
He was active in the VFW and American Legion posts; serving in the Color Guard and the Honor Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Alvin and Ernest Marques.
Victor is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years Katie; daughter Marlene McAdam (Mike); son Dean Marques (Linda); Grandchildren Dustin McAdam (Kym), Megan Marques, Sarah Thommen (Robby), and Ben Marques; and Great-Grandchild Dustin Michael McAdam.
The family would like to especially thank his caregivers Maria, Sandra, Monserrat and Laura for the loving and compassionate care they provided Victor.
Visitation, Feb. 28th, 5-7p.m at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel; rosary will be recited 7pm. Funeral mass, Feb. 29th, 10am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church; burial to follow at Los Banos District Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Our Lady of Fatima School in Los Banos.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel~Los Banos.
