Carol Lee Mumby
October 7, 1937 - April 10, 2016

Carol Lee Mumby, a life time resident of Dos Palos, went to be with Our Heavenly Father peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at her home in Dos Palos, CA surrounded by her loved ones. She was 78 years old.
Carol was born October 7, 1937 in Dos Palos, CA the daughter of Daniel E. and Ellen Irene (Dahl) Drew. Carol and her late husband Stanley built a very successful business in farming and custom cotton harvesting, Mumby Farms, Inc. She enjoyed family time and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and remembered lovingly by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Lee Trantham, their son Steven Trantham, sister Janice (Drew) Schulz, her father Daniel E. Drew, late husband of 45 years Stanley Douglas Mumby and a great granddaughter, Norah Wilhelmi.
She is survived by her mother: Ellen Drew, of Dos Palos, CA, her children, Terri (Mumby) Grant and her husband Bill of Rancho Cordova, CA, Kathryn Coleman and her husband H. of Roseville, CA, Stanley William Mumby of San Rafael, CA, Rebecca Sorensen of Clovis, CA, Sharon (Trantham) Joyner and her husband John of Dos Palos, CA, Martin Mumby of Dos Palos, CA, one brother, Gary Drew of Fresno, CA, two sisters, Judy (Drew) Hoover and her husband Benton, Linda (Drew) Cipriani and her husband Albert, ten grandchildren; Danielle, Courtney, Alex, Natalie, Stevie, Carson, Abigail, Ryan, Madison and Shabrie, five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness or Hines Hospice.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos. A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11 am at the Rock Church of Dos Palos, CA. Burial at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 1:30 pm in Santa Nella, CA.
