Wilfred, 81, passed away surrounded by his family in Los Banos, CA. He joined the Navy in 1961. He met his late wife, Sally, in Newport, RI in 1966 and were married shortly after. They moved up and down the East Coast before moving to San Diego, CA in 1975. He retired from the Navy in 1981. Wilfred and Sally moved to Los Banos in 1997 to be near their daughter Mary and their grandchildren. One month later his wife Sally passed away. He remained in Los Banos close to his children and grandchildren until his death. He was known as “Grandpa” to not only his family, but close friends as well. He was epecially known for his great cooking and his lumpia (Egg Rolls).
Wilfred is preceded in death by his wife Sally Anne Lorenzana; his daughter, Luvimin Lorenzana.
He is survived by his daughters: Mabis Lorenzana, Nini Cruz, Kathy Perez, Mary Leon, Ina Lorenzana;his sons: Joel Lorenzana, Wilfred Lorenzana Jr. and Christopher Lorenzana; 17 grandchildren, 12 great grand children.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 19th beginning with a visitation at 9:00 am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella, CA.
