Vi Pafford went to be at home with the Lord on June 19, 2016. She was born Viola Mae Nelsen on June 7, 1922 in Dakota County, Nebraska.
Vi was a positive, cheerful soul who made everyone she met feel special. Her life was guided by God's Word, and she sought constantly to live by Paul's words, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. "She knew that the greatest gift is love, and lived it.
Vi was preceded in death by her husband Charlie; three brothers, Arthur, Robert, and Paul; one sister, Doris; and a beloved granddaughter, Stephanie.
She is survived by three sons: Douglas and wife Mae of Clovis, CA, Edward and wife Janet of Bakersfield, CA, and Paul and wife Cheryl of Firebaugh, CA; a brother, Jim Nelsen and wife Evelyn of Cincinnati, OH; as well as 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and countless precious friends and relatives.
Remembrances in Viola's name may be made to the Dos Palos Church of Christ or to Hinds Hospice.

"Just discovered today the availability of this page and, of course, we would like to share our prayers with the Pafford family for their peace, comfort, and fellowship. Vi was one of the finest people we've ever met; a beautiful sheep in the Lord's flock, who filled the room everywhere she went with the light of the Gospel. We praise God for her wonderful life! May the "God of all comfort" bring healing to everyone in your family, and provide a unity that you have not experienced before. We love you all and appreciate the opportunity to participate in her memorial. Gary & Shirley Villamor"
