Manuel Anthony Mello was born in Los Banos and lived there the rest of his life. He was known as a kind and generous man that would do anything to help someone else. His life work was dairy farming and later he became a commercial farmer. After his retirement, he, along with his wife Rose, volunteered in the community at Los Banos Community Hospital for over 55 years. He was the premier tri-tip barbecue'r for many years serving others. The last couple of years he lived with his son in Arizona enjoying life together.
Manuel is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose Mello; his daughter Loretta Imbesi, and nephew Aaron Imbesi.
He is survived by his son, Manuel Anthony Mello, his daughter-in-law Teri Mello; 4 grandchildren: Jeremy Imbesi, Rebecca Johnston, Bethani Mello, and Alison Sharp, and 8 great grandchildren. He was a man of God, and heaven is a sweeter place because he is there. We love you more!
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.; rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, October 27, 2016 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Los Banos District Cemetery.
