Ross Toscano, 61, a native of Los Banos, passed away in his home on January 8, 2017. He attended local schools, graduating from Los Banos High School in 1971. Ross was an excellent athlete, and received a scholarship to Cal Lutheran College in Southern California. He left Cal Lutheran after a year and embarked on a life filled with some successes, but many difficulties, too. Ten years ago he found permanent employment in the Oroville, California area. Ross returned to Los Banos in 2010 to help take care of his ailing father. While helping with his mother and father’s care Ross embarked on a Master’s Degree Program at Fresno State. He completed his academics a year and a half ago, but while awaiting his internship, he contracted CHF which ultimately took his life. He was a gifted and caring man who will be greatly missed.

"I'm saddened to learn of Ross's passing this way; so long after the fact. I knew him during the years of 1991-1995. His encouragement and humor helped me get through my own personal crisis even as he dealt with his own difficulties. He was a dearly lived friend. Rest in peace dear one."
