Dominic James Ferro
December 13, 1950 - February 17, 2017

Dominic James Ferro, 68, passed away on February 17, 2017. Dominic was born in Los Banos on Dec. 13, 1950 to James and Loretta Ferro. He attended local schools and graduated in 1970 from Los Banos High School. He was drafted into the Army in 1971 and was stationed in Fort Ord. Upon returning home, he worked in the dairy business for Lopes Farms and Rodoni Farms. Afer the dairy, he drove harrow bed for a few seasons. He left Los Banos in 1997 and moved to Washington State for a short time and eventually settled in Elk Grove. Dominic always had a smile on his face, and could make anyone laugh; he will be remembered as someone who always wanted to have a good time. He enjoyed watching the 49er’s, waterskiing and hunting. His greatest joy in life was the love he had for his daughter and 4 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Loretta Ferro and sister, Lorraine Ferro. Survivors include his daughter Monique Ferro; 4 grandchildren: Liliana, Ceasar, Yesenia and Dominica; and his companion Kathy Rice all of Elk Grove, CA. Also, his sister June Ferro-Prien of Los Banos. On Wednesday, March 1, 2017, there will be a visitation at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel 5:007:00 p.m. and the rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, March 2, 20117 at 12:30 p.m., the funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church; burial will follow at the Los Banos District Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel~Los Banos.
