Judy Hogue Breeden 87, formerly of Firebaugh passed away February 18, 2018 at Bethany Home in Ripon, CA.
Judy was born in Calumet, OK on June 18, 1930. She was the fifth of six children of James (Pike) Riley and Ellie Cross Hogue of Oklahoma. They moved to Richmond, CA in 1942 where her father and brothers worked in the ship yards. They later moved to Firebaugh where she met her husband Virgil. They were married for 64 years before he passed away in 2011. Judy lived in Firebaugh for more than 70 years before moving to Ripon to be near her daughter.
Judy loved spending time with her family and enjoyed gardening, quilting and especially cooking for others. She served her Lord and enjoyed fellowship at the First Baptist Church in Firebaugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Virgil Breeden, daughter, Patt Delerio and son, Virgil Breeden.
She is survived by her daughter Billie (Bob) Verdegaal of Ripon, daughter-in-law Sue of Prineville, OR, son-in-law, Darrell Delerio of Dos Palos, her brother, Bill (Ruth) Hogue of Firebaugh, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Methodist Church in Firebaugh.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Home of Ripon, Community Hospice of Modesto or the First Baptist Church of Firebaugh.
