In loving memory of

Alda Maria Cabral
February 17, 1933 - July 28, 2018

Alda (Resendes Rodrigues) Cabral was born to loving Godly parents, Jose & Ermelinda Rodrigues on February 17, 1933 on the island of San Miguel, The Azores.
She was the youngest of four children: Jose, Joo, Ilda, all preceding her in death. Alda enjoyed a wonderful childhood surrounded by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
At age 18 Alda married Manuel Matos Cabral to whom she was married for 56 years when he passed away. She bore seven children: Isaura, Tony, Joe, Aida, Maggie, Mario and Judy. Sadly, Mario, triplet to Aida and Maggie, died after three months.
The Cabral family emigrated to the United States in 1966, settling in Dos Palos, California on a dairy farm where Alda’s husband served as general manager.
Over the years her children blessed her with 10 grandchildren: Anthony Cabral, Laura Roots Spence, Tim Cabral, Jennifer Roots Sousa, Sarah Fisher Maroney, Alexi Cabral Cortopassi, Emily Latronica, Cameron Cabral, Gregory Latronica and Matthew Cabral.
Alda also had six great grandchildren: Isaac Cabral, Alyssa Roots Spence, Brooklyne Sousa, Tristan Cabral, Colson Sousa, and Rhiannon Cortopassi.
There’s no question that Alda loved her family, relishing the visits from her great grandchildren when she was in declining health. They would plop down on her bed and chatter away about all their school activities and life discoveries.
Alda left a legacy of solid, character building values: loving God, working hard and devoted to family.

"May my beautiful Godmother Alda rest peace. Sending the entire family my deepest heartfelt condolences. Though we only met in person a few times we did speak on the phone and I will miss her."
