Lilly Garcia, age 96, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 23, 2020. She was born on November 8, 1923 in San Juan, Texas. Lilly married Alberto Garcia on May 26, 1946 and later relocated to California in the early 1950’s. Lilly was preceded in death by her husband Alberto Garcia of 58 years of marriage, her two daughters Mary Rivas and Irma Garcia, as well as her two sons Manuel Garcia and Alberto Garcia Jr., her grandsons Paul Richard Cruz Garcia and Edward Contreraz and one granddaughter Catarina Contreraz.
Lilly was the beloved mother of eight children, she was a very caring and loving mother. Lilly loved being around her family and friends. She also loved to play Bingo, enjoyed camping, gambling (slots), her lotto tickets and her pet chihuahua’s.
Lilly is survived by her two sons Rudy and Raul Garcia, her daughters Lupe Garcia and Rosa Belloso, and her nearly 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren who she loved unconditionally.
The world is a lesser place without her, but heaven has gained a beautiful angel.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by the Rosary at 7:00pm at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel 1840 S. Center Ave, Los Banos, CA 93635. The Funeral Mass on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St Joseph Catholic Church, 1625 Center Ave, Los Banos, CA 93635. Gravesite ceremony at The Dos Palos Cemetery, 1800 Elgin Ave, Dos Palos, CA 93620.
