John Wesley Blacketer, age 79, son of Merle and Margaret (Hoover) Blacketer, was born on November 24, 1941 in Denver, Colorado. He passed away on February 17, 2021 in Omaha, Nebraska.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Merle Blacketer and brothers, Barry and Jim. He is survived and will be missed by his loving wife, Elaine; son, Aaron (Julie); daughter, Jill; and sisters: Linda, Nancy (David) and Martha.
A private family service will be held with interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the University of Nebraska Foundation to benefit the Blacketer College of Continuing Studies Scholarship Fund, 1010 Lincoln Mall, Suite 300, Lincoln, NE 68508.
