Roland Paul Schneider
March 22, 1957 - February 17, 2021

Roland Schneider was born March 22, 1957 to Herman and Edith (Wingrove) Schneider in Denison, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison. Roland graduated from Denison High School with the class of 1975.

After graduation, he worked for SuperValu, Pamida and Walmart. He was also the custodian at Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran School and Hy-Vee. He started his own business, "Schneider's Cleaning" while working at Crawford County Memorial Hospital. After retiring from Crawford County Memorial Hospital, he continued to do part-time work as a custodian at the Denison High School, Denison Post Office and Moeller Trucking.

He was a very hard-working man who took much pride in his work. He could see the beauty in all things, especially the outdoors. He loved to garden and he was a one-of-a-kind collector. He enjoyed going to family functions and loved his family and friends more than anything as he treated his friends as if they were his family. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church and was very devoted to his faith.

Roland passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska attaining the age of sixty-three years, ten months and twenty-six days. In addition to his parents, Roland was preceded in death by his niece, Heidi.

He is survived by his sisters, Marian and her husband Randy Schuett of Deloit and their children, Linnae Hansohn and her significant other, Bob Z Langner and Mark Hansohn and his wife, Cynthia; LaVon Siemer of Pleasant Hill, Iowa and her children, Jennifer and her husband John Bruening and Joshua Siemer and his wife, Jena; Jean and her husband Scott Kruse of Cherokee, Iowa and their daughter, Olivia Kruse and foreign exchange student, Shania Rehmudin of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; great-nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life is 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison with visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Inurnment is in Deloit Cemetery in Deloit. Memorials may be directed to the family.
