"I didn\'t know Tom until recent years. A friend and I often ate Saturday breakfast at Ampride. Tom was usually there eating and would stop by our table to visit a few minutes. He was friendly and had a nice smile. One of his brothers was a classmate of my sister in the Odebolt School...class of 1956. My Sincere Sympathy to all of his Family!"

Thomas Eugene Halboth was born February 4, 1947 to Everett and Irene (Fineran) Halboth in Carroll, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Odebolt. Tom graduated from the Odebolt High School with the class of 1965. During high school, he was an all-state basketball player. His passion for sports remained with him all his life.
Tom passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison attaining the age of seventy-four years and eleven days. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob and Bill Halboth.
He is survived by his siblings, Ted Halboth of Denison and Kathy Kite and her fiancé Kerry of Mayflower, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Donna Halboth of Stockton, California; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 also at the funeral home. Inurnment is in Schaller Cemetery in Schaller, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family.
