"So sorry for your loss. Marilyn Adams was my neighbor when I was growing up on the farm. Our place was just down the hill to the east from the Adams\' farm. We went to country school together at Goodrich #4. Mrs. Grell taught K-8th grade in that one-room school. At one time I think there were 28 of us...and we all went to the Lutheran church! Lots of good memories. The school was converted to a house at some point after the country schools were all closed. It was burned in the last year or two. I had always wondered what it looked like as a family home. Marilyn was older than me. We younger kids always looked up to the older kids. They were so good at everything and helped us if our teacher was busy with another grade at the front of the room. Our farm was a mile from the school. I don\'t remember walking to school. It seems like my parents took me unless it had rained or snowed and the bottom of the hill by the windmill (now gone) and Albert and Hulda Ludwig\'s place was a muddy mess. Her dad, Albert, and Wilbur Harm who lived across the road from the Adams\' both had Jeeps that could plow through that...unheated, of course. I remember my brother Lowell, myself, Roger and Eugene Harm, and the Adams kids piling into it and plowing our way through so we could get to school. I do have some photos I think. The obituary gave me a glance at her life after those days in the 1950\'s. She loved her family and her life and now rests in Jesus\' arms. Loween (Schroeder) Getter, Webster City, IA "
