Claudine Merrell, 82, of Libby, Montana passed away peacefully in her home on Friday February 12, 2021.

Claudine was born August 25, 1938 in Swan Lake, Idaho to Claude D. and Bertha (Hadley) Cooper.

Claudine conveyed perfect love and care to her family, was a passionate genealogist, devout daughter of Heavenly Father, and affectionate matriarch. Claudine strove daily in her aspiration for knowledge and education, who also loved animals and never met a stranger through her Christ like love for people, service, and making friends.

Claudine is survived by her children Gaylen (Karen) Merrell of Jackson, WY; Lynne Eve (Creg) Wilkins of Vernal, UT; Glendon (Ruth Ann) Merrell of Casper, WY; Blain (Leanne) Merrell of Yerington, NV; Gary (Jeff) Merrell of West Bountiful, UT and daughter-in-law Mary Merrell of Jackson, WY; eighteen grandchildren along with many great grandchildren; sisters Roma Jean Cooper-Ockler of Highland, UT, Wendy (Kent) Cooper-Lewis of Draper, UT, and Peggy (Craig) Cooper-Forest of West Valley City, Ut; and brothers Roy (Cherie) Cooper of Payson, UT, and Orvid Cooper of Saint George, UT.

Claudine is preceded in death by her spouse, Orvil C. Merrell, son Gordon N. Merrell, brother Dee Cooper, and sisters Phebe Anne Cooper and Idonna Cooper.

Graveside services for Claudine will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11:30am at the Vernal Memorial Park, 1700 South Vernal Ave. Graveside services will be live streamed at https://vimeo.com/516966052.
