Lucille Jeanette Elms, 87, of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 27th at 1:30 PM at Holy Trinity Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:00 to 1:30 PM at the church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.
Lucille (Lucy) is survived by stepdaughter, Tenna Baedke (Roger) of Fort Dodge, granddaughter Tiffany Shellenberger (Chris), Grandson Timothy Shellenberger (Brytan )of Omaha ,NE, granddaughter Gabrielle Westmiller of Waconia, MN., granddaughter Melissa Channell (Kenneth) of Des Moines, IA., grandson Michael Potter of Fort Dodge, great -grandchildren Austin, Chance, Brayden, Olivia, Kylee, Allie an Dawson, sisters Betty Ann (Jim) Brantner, Susan (Oren) Irvin, And Mary Lou (George) Mc Sorley along with many stepchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sons Gary & Wayne Shellenberger, husbands Charles Knoss and Charles Elms, parents, brothers Raymond Sheeler, Emerald Jr.& Sylvia Sheeler, Larry & Ella Sheeler.
Lucille Jeanette Sheeler was born September 30, 1933 To Emerald and Agnes (Conlon) Sheeler of Sioux City, Iowa. She was raised is Sioux City until her family moved to San Diego, Ca. She Graduated high school in San Diego and then moved to Minneapolis, MN. For 34 years, Lucille worked at Univac with computer manufacturing. In 1966, she retired from Univac. She was an active member of Saint Peters Catholic Church in Richfield, MN. Before moving to Fort Dodge in 2008 and becoming a member of Sacred Heart Church later Holy Trinity Parish. Was with the Red Hats for about 5 years till the group ended. She enjoyed her gardens and outside as her health would allow. Most of all she loved talking on the phone to all friends and family.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
