Hugh Heard, age 83, of Cumming, Ga. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, February 10th, 2021. Hugh was born in 1937, to the late Jeff and Lillie Heard. He was a local builder and developer for many years. Hugh was a charter member and deacon of Cumming Baptist Church in Cumming, Ga. He served in the Air National Guard. He enjoyed watching Nascar and Georgia Football. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Hugh had a very good sense of humor and will be missed by many. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years Janice Bramblett Heard; two brothers, Roy and Bud Heard, and five sisters, Mildred Bottoms, Dean Corn, Kate Corn, Artie Hammond, and Bobbie Stripland.
He is survived by his children, Greg (Lisa) Heard, and Philip Heard; grandchildren, Lindsay Heard, Matthew Heard, and Jessica Heard; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Phil and Jan Bramblett; along with many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 14th, 2021 at 2 pm in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, Ga. with Dr. Roger Williams and Dr. Jamie Archer officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 7 pm - 9pm and on Sunday from 1pm until the hour of service.
Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of handling funeral arrangements.
