In loving memory of

Constance Rae Wahlstrom
November 5, 1937 - January 19, 2021

Constance Rae Wahlstrom, 83, passed away January 19, 2021 at Glendale, Arizona. She was the wife of Richard F. Wahlstrom. They shared 57 years of marriage.

Born in Central City, NE, she was the daughter of Harley and Almeda Mae Smith. She graduated from Canoga Park High School in 1955, winning 1st Place in the Los Angeles, CA Bank of America Vocational Arts Awards. The top prize of $1,000 was quite an accomplishment. She had a brief career as a medical/dental assistant but her true calling was as a loving mother to her three children and numerous foster children.

She was a member of Paseo Verde Christian Church and conducted a women's Bible study for 20 years along with many women's retreats. She enjoyed performing with local community theaters, a talent she used to make the women's retreats memorable for all who attended. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and love of God.

She is survived by her children: Cindy Pritchett (Bill), Scott Wahlstrom (Leann) and Dawn Mayfield; grandchildren: Shawn Pritchett (Sarah), Amanda Pritchett, Shaun Wahlstrom (Katie), Caitlin Kohrs (Jeremy), Elizabeth Mayfield, Christina Mayfield; great grandchildren: Zane, Addilyn, Tinsley and Everlee Wahlstrom, Payton and Brooke Pritchett and Eisley Kohrs. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard F. Wahlstrom.

Internment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

Tributes

Rodney Smith wrote on Feb 10, 2021:

"Prayers for everyone in the Wahlstrom Family. Hearing from Connie always brought a smile to my face. Always words of encouragement. I cherish the memories I have of being around her and sharing her joy. I will always smile when I think of her and her positive effect on my life. She is and will be greatly missed. But to know of her relationship with Jesus, it is comforting to me and I pray it will be for others. May her love and the Love of Christ be with us all. Rod Smith, Waco "
