"I'm thankful that I had the pleasure for nearly twenty years of seeing and talking with this kind incredible young man! Will make many wonderful memories."
WILLIAM "BILLY" ROBERTS
DOB: 12/14/1976
DOD: 01/30/21
Billy Roberts, who recently celebrated his 44th birthday suddenly left us on Saturday, January 30, 2021 following a massive heart attack. The Angel Gabriel called him home so early because he needed Billy's help in his Angel Transportation Garage. He had heard of Billy's reputation of always being on-call for his family and friends for all things mechanical. Billy had an incredible gift for understanding and repairing everything. He was the "Go-To" guy you called if you were broken down beside the road in the middle of the night or your ice maker stopped working.
Billy was born in Erie PA and moved to Marion County (FL) when he was two. Billy was educated in Marion County schools and graduated from Vanguard High School. Although Billy had his CDL license his chosen career was working in environmental reclamation for residential and small businesses. Billy held certifications in this field and was always conscious of the environmental impact of his work.
Billy spent many happy hours working with his best friend, Chuck in Chuck's garage. What Billy couldn't fix by himself they could together. Billy enjoyed many outdoor activities including camping and fishing. Billy could fish all day, never catch a fish and tell you when he came in what a wonderful time he had.
Billy had an incredible love for his family, friends and his English bulldog, Jethro. His love was reciprocated by all - even Jethro. To Jethro, Billy was a dog's best friend.
Billy is survived by his dad, Michael Roberts; and his mom since 1994, Mandy Roberts; and, his first mom, Joan Roberts of Jamestown NY. His brothers and sisters are: Michael Roberts II (and Penny); Ellery Roberts (and Angela); Pam Craig (and Danny); Sammy Roberts (and Sylvia); Patrick Roberts (of Jamestown, NY.); Brenda Weber (and Ivan); and Mary Roberts. Billy also leaves his much loved four nieces and six nephews. Billy leaves his Grandma, Brenda Watson, who was not just a grandma but a friend who will miss him very much. He is preceded in death by his brother, Bill of Erie PA, who died 2018.
Billy's services following his cremation will be on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Roberts Funeral Home in downtown Ocala. Visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 with his service immediately afterwards. Since Billy's family has already had to deal with Covid-19 please wear your masks. It would be very much appreciated.
