Rochester: January 4, 2015. Survived by his wife, Connie (Barcola) Booth; daughter, Michele (Joe) Montante; son, Owen Booth Jr; grandchildren, Sarah Booth, Brittany Booth, Joseph Montante; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Patricia (Matthew) Lennon, Leona Weissman, Danny (Carol) Booth, Gayle (Bill) Czajkowski; sister-in-law, Viola Booth; several nieces, nephews dear friends.



Owen's visitation will be 2-4 7-9 PM Friday at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd). His funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 AM Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd, Rochester, NY 14620 in Owen's memory.



Owen was born on May 9, 1935 and grew up in Scranton, PA. As a boy, he spent many summers in Newton Lake, PA and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Owen was a good student who enjoyed school and was very knowledgeable. He enlisted in the military right after finishing high school.



Owen loved family events and was a very loving grandfather. In his spare time, he loved spending time outdoors with his family, fishing, hunting, and camping. Some of his favorite things included Gunsmoke and all westerns, listening to country music, and reading good books.



Family and friends would best describe Owen as someone who was quiet, smart, spoke well about others, and was non-judgmental. Owen was an honest and strong family man and always did the right thing. He will be dearly missed.
