"To the entire Lioi family and Mary I am sincerely sorry for your loss of John. I first met the big man" in June 1965 on my wedding day.We became very good friends and John was my "gumba". We did a lot together and he did a lot for me. John you were my daughter's godfather. You became a blessing for me and my family after my father's tragic death. The I loved the great times with our families at Arnold's Lake. How about all those racket ball games at the Y nearly always won because you hated to lose. The time you convinced me to drive to see a Browns game in frigid weather and i nearly froze.Your wit and humor always made me laugh. How could i ever thank you for hosting my 40th birthday party. I always loved the pinochle games with above the funeral home and the NEW YEARS EVE bashes there as well. I know that we had drifted apart but I am thankful of talking to you on the phone for nearly an hour last month to set the record straight and laughing at recalling the past.We were both wishful of resuming golf together once you got well. May you rest in the Lord's presence in Heaven"
"We miss you already. Sad not to see you sitting in your seat at the ball game doing the stats. All our love, Jim and ginny"
"I will miss seeing you... I hope you are at peace now...
Lots of love,
Kristin"

"I received word today that a dear friend in "funeral service" has died. I feel very sad about it. I am sorry I will not be able to make the trip to Rochester to pay my respects. John was a great guy, funny, smart, very italian, & he ran a good funeral. I have always missed the days we worked together. I will miss your e-mails of your conservative views & liberal jokes, obama jokes, clinton jokes, & all the gross perverted jokes & pics. ( Fat women...lol) My you find peace. May God hold you in the palm of his hand."
"To Mary and the entire Lioi family, Our deepest condolences to you all..To say that John was special and unique would be an understatment..I can tell you that his wit, humor and Rotary knowledge will be sadly missed.."
"Steve Bernardini made a donation to AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY INC Gia, During this difficult time I would like to extend my most heartfelt sympathies to you and your family. If you need a friend to help you through this, you know who to call."
