Jim is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Carmella Perno Cerqua; children, James (Jackie) Cerqua, John (Judy) Cerqua, Diane (Mike) Cooper, Carl (Terri) Cerqua; grandchildren, Justin Jamie Cerqua, Lindsay Cooper, Vin Nick Delgudico; sisters and brother, Gloria (Sam) Trapani, Dominic (Jenny) Cerqua, Pat (Arthur) Vasile Ida (Augie) Tuffo; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.



Donations

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 in Jim's memory.



Services

BARTOLOMEO PEROTTO Funeral Home, Inc., 1411 Vintage Lane, (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.) where Jim's visitation will be Tuesday, December 26th, 3-7 PM. Jim's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 27th, 11AM at Holy Ghost Church, 220 Coldwater Rd. Interment Holy Ghost Cemetery.



Additional Information

Jim could best be described as well liked, easy to get along with, hard working and a gentle person. He loved his family above all else, he was very devoted and supportive to his wife children and grandchildren. Jim enjoyed playing softball and cheering on the Cleveland Browns and the NY Yankees. Jim preferred the simple things in life, he did however, have a passion for automobiles, he would buy a new car every 3 years. Jim was a reluctant handyman who`s work could be seen in his and all of his children`s homes. Jim enjoyed bowling and going for rides in the car.
