History

Josephine was born on November 28, 1919 in Rochester, NY to George and Emma Boudrez of Lexington Avenue. She preferred to be called Jo rather than her given name of Josephine. Jo along with her sister, Arline, grew up in Most Precious Blood Parish. She later attended Marshall High School. As Depression times were tough, she left school prior to graduation and started working in the accounting department at the Rochester Gas Electric Corpoation. Her business career at RGE lasted 32 years. In her spare time, she studied Hair Dressing, demonstrating her talent over the years on family and friends. Jo met her soul-mate, Jimmy Peachey, at the RGE. They married on February 8, 1941 and had four children. They were devoted to each other and during the course of their marriage Jo and Jim lived in Rochester, Washington DC and Ocala, FL. Jo was an avid bowler and card player. She loved listening and dancing to Big Band and Polka music and the Florida sunshine. She enjoyed life to the fullest, especially if in included MM candies and afternoon happy hour. One of her favorite meals was a rare hamburger with onions, french fries and ice cream of any flavour.
