"I had the distinguished honor of meeting Mrs. Blood, in the late 80's, at her home in Pinehurst, NC. I was writing my college English term term paper on "The one person I would talk to in History, and why". She allowed me to interview her, and share information about Harry and herself. We met on three different occasions, and I've never enjoyed myself more. From the first time I entered her home, she made me feel like one of the family. I received an "A" on the paper and was told I should sell it to the paper. I kept the paper to myself, because she shared special things with me she didn't want published, and I honored her request. She will be greatly missed, and made me a better person for knowing her. "

Marie was a member of the Society of American Magicians the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Marie lectured around the country talking about living with her Uncle Aunt Harry Bess Houdini

Services
Visitation Sunday 2PM until 6PM. In keeping with the magic tradition, a Broken Wand Ceremony will be performed at 5:30 on Sunday. Marie`s Funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Monday at St. Lawrence Church. Inurnment in Paramus, NJ at a later date.
