GREECE - June 29, 2019. Doreen is survived by her daughter, Danielle (Keith Malinowski) Lipani; granddaughters, Jenna Nicole Lipani Allie Claire Lipani; brother, Gene Romagnolo; several nieces nephews.
Doreen's life story will be shared during her visitation, at the Funeral Home, Tuesday, 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.), July 2nd, 2-4 6-8 PM. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated Wednesday, July 3rd, 10 AM at Bethel Christian Fellowship, 321 East Ave., followed by her burial in Parma Union Cemetery.
Doreen was born on August 12, 1938 to Michele Filomenia Romagnolo in Rochester, NY. She grew up on Smith Street and attended St. Anthony grammar school. During her youth, Doreen attended Nazareth Academy, she was known to be social and developed a love for music.
Doreen spent 30 years working for Social Security Administration.
Some of her favorite activities in life were spending time with her daughter, Danielle and her grandchildren, Jenna and Allie. Doreen loved to share the holidays and birthdays with her family, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving. She also took joy in watching her granddaughter's volleyball games.
Doreen was very social, she loved to travel and took trips to Hawaii, Florida, Boston, California and Disney Cruises. She enjoyed singing throughout her life and participated in many musicals. Doreen liked being a part of a card club and was a Youth Group Volunteer at Bethel Full Gospel Church. She was known to be an excellent cook and watched T.V. shows such as, General Hospital and the Kardashians.
Doreen was described as witty, loving, persistent and had a great sense of humor. She was also brave, optimistic, conservative and had strong family values. Some of her favorite sayings were "If you have 5 close friends, you are blessed" and "Blood is thicker than water."
Doreen with be deeply missed and will always be fondly remembered by her loving friends and family.
