History

He is survived by his children, Charlie Leccese Nancy (Bill) Gaenzler; cherished granddaughter, Zoey Gaenzler; brother-in-law, Tom DiTucci; sister-in-law, Loretta DiTucci; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Services

Cosmo's visitation will be on Sunday from 2-5 PM at the funeral home 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte 390 Long Pond Rd). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church (2400 Ridge Rd. W.) Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.



Additional Information

Cosmo was a WWII Veteran, co owner of LeCesse Construction, Coray's Market and North Park Lanes. He was a longtime member of Ridgemont Country Club and the Bricklayers Allied Craftworkers Union Local 3 NY.

Cosmo was a charmer, nicest guy you could ever meet. His family and friends were very important to him. He was a Big Yankee's fan and avid bowler, golfer and amateur baseball player. He enjoyed gardening and traveling.

"Charlie D Leccese Coray's Market! - funny how events like this jog the memory - Coray's - the COS from Cos and the RAY from brother Ray (sadly pre-deceased earlier this year) - My earliest memories was living behind and above that little market on Lyell Ave. And years after the brothers were a successful construction business, he would still stop and shop there - and of course eat at Uncle Jack's and get a haircut at Joe (Esposito) the barber in the old neighborhood. LIved the depression, served in WWII - brick mason for Frederick's, Grocer, Construction Owner, Bowler -Donner league and Monday Night Scratch - and Bowling Center Owner (I remember trips out to oversee Pleasure Lanes in Hilton back in the 60s before they sold it to Chuck Gerken), then retired golfer, traveler, and part-time Florida resident. From a world of radio to one of mobile phone apps - though I think he got left behind at the VCR technologically - his was a long and varied life. Hopefully the afterlife will treat him as well. He's missed his golf this last year so thinking he's enjoying a nice round with Mom this morning. As we look back over time We find ourselves wondering ..... Did we remember to thank you enough For all you have done for us? For all the times you were by our sides To help and support us ..... To celebrate our successes To understand our problems And accept our defeats? Or for teaching us by your example, The value of hard work, good judgement, Courage and integrity? We wonder if we ever thanked you For the sacrifices you made. To let us have the very best? And for the simple things Like laughter, smiles and times we shared? If we have forgotten to show our Gratitude enough for all the things you did, We're thanking you now. And we are hoping you knew all along, How much you meant to us."
