"My sincere condolences to my dear friend and her family. Richard was a loving father and husband. His love and generosity extended to all of those who were fortunate to know him though. Richard and Lucille were beyond gracious towards me during my adolescence. I spent many weekends and vacations with their family and was fortunate to be a recipient of their generosity and to bear witness to their loving and tender relationships. I will always remember Rich as a generous, fun-loving, gentle man with a heart of gold. The only consolation to his passing is that he is now with his beloved Lucille. May this bring a measure of comfort in this time of enormous grief."
