Greece: May 1, 2015. Predeceased by his parents Frank & Josephine Pizzo; sister, Connie Sullivan; brothers, Peter Pizzo & Sam Pizzo. Survived by his devoted wife of 70 years, Mary (Borreggine) Pizzo; children, JoAnn (Paul) Hosier, Terry (Blane) Baumbarger, Deborah (Patrick) Stein; grandchildren, Angela (Marshall) Oakes, Tiffany (Mark) Kleehamer, Julie (John) Schubmehl & Taryn Stein; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Riley, Jonathan & Jessica; sister, Jeanette (George) Lembaris; several cousins, nieces & nephews. John was a WWII Navy veteran. He retired from Bereza Iron Works Inc with over 50 years of service.

"It's hard to believe that uncle John is gone. He has been in our lives forever. We all have such fond memories of him. My dad used to love discussing politics, finance, history.....you name it.....with him. They would sometimes get into some heated debates but you knew it was all in fun. They had a mutual respect for each other. Both were of a generation that produced men of great character. Loyal to their friends and families. They lived through the hardest of times. We will always remember uncle John's love of blueberry pies and big breakfasts! The kidding with him about his slow driving and sandy hot dogs! His nickname "Hun" for aunt Mary. He left a great legacy in his large and loving family. A great role model and a great man. We will miss you!"
