Catherine Lett, 91, of Council Bluffs, IA passed away at Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Private family funeral service will be held. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson is caring for Catherine and her family.

Catherine Joan (Keast) Lett, 91 of Council Bluffs, IA, passed away January 28, 2021.
Catherine, one of five children of Faye and Emma Leota (Bisbee) Keast, was born on September 6, 1929 in Macedonia, Iowa. She grew up and attended school in Macedonia, graduating from Macedonia High School.
Catherine and Merrill Virgil "Dutch" Lett were married on October 4, 1949 at the Macedonia United Methodist Church. Their marriage was blessed with three daughters, Sharon Lee, Sheryl Lynn and Sondra Louise.
Catherine was a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, and the Jolly Dozen Club. For a time, she sold Watkins Products in the area. Catherine enjoyed gardening and traveling with Merrill to the Ozarks and Branson in Missouri. She loved spending time with her friends and family. Her grandchildren, Trevor and Jessica, were her pride and joy. Catherine was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and a good friend to all who knew and loved her.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Merrill Lett in 2014; sister Carol Edic; and sisters-in-law, Dora Lou Keast and Dolora Keast.
Catherine is survived by her daughters, Sharon Lett-Self and husband Glenn of Houston, TX, Sheryl Lett of Winterset, IA, and Sondra Laughlin and husband Duane of Carson, IA; grandson Trevor and wife Sara; granddaughter Jessica; brothers, Edward Keast of Carson, IA, and Ron Keast of Macedonia, IA; sister Karen Hall and husband John of Council Bluffs; brother-in-law Curt of MO; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
