"When my sisters and I were young, my family would drive out to Ft. Dodge to see great grandma Lois and great grandpa Carl. My older sister and I would stay a few days with them and great uncle Babe. He was truly an incredible man. Such a sweet and caring soul. We would watch Old yeller and lay with his big baby, Ebony. We spoke often over the years and he always treated me and my sisters like we were his grandchildren. We spoke last week after my sister passed and he was still that sweet compassionate man he was years ago. Uncle Babe, you will be missed. The Mallaro clan won't be the same without you. Love you always, Nina Mallaro"

"Sympathies to the Mallaro family for the loss of a dear brother. My family knew your mother,Lois, well. She worked for many years with my dad ,Jim Canavan, at Power's Appliance and TV. Lois helped us in so many different ways. She would drive us kids to appointments if my dad was busy at work. I always felt Lois was a part of our family, too.Friendly, generous, kind person to all.
