"Jr. was a member of our congregation here in Thomasville at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Fisher Ferry Rd. His willingness to help is something that I always appreciated about him. He no doubt was a private man but if he called you a friend you could count on him. My wife and I, to this day, borrow one of his sayings...We will joke around at times and say" My point is" like Jr. did.Jr. didn't allow his failing health to diminish his love for Jehovah God. He continued to participate in congregation meetings right up until the end of his life. We can draw comfort from the scripture in Rev. 21:3-4...This is a promise for a beautiful future that God gives...3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.Thankfully we have the hope of to see him again. Our prayers go out to the family."
